Two Seriously Hurt In Crash, One Victim Believed To Be Pregnant

A woman, believed to be pregnant, and a man were seriously hurt in a crash just north of Newmarket Wednesday morning.

The collision, which involved a van and a logging truck, happened at Queensville Sideroad and the 2nd Concession in East Gwillimbury, around 6:45am. After the initial impact, the van apparently spun out and hit a third vehicle – a GMC Jimmy.

The area has been closed down for the investigation.

The woman, reportedly about five months pregnant, who was the passenger in the van, was taken to hospital via land ambulance, while the man who was driving the van was taken to Sunnybrook in an air ambulance.

The drivers of the truck and Jimmy weren’t hurt.
