Police Fear Break-And-Enter Bandit Could Become Violent

Toronto Police have issued a safety alert for a break-and-enter bandit they fear may become violent.

Officers allege that one man is responsible for a series of burglaries.

They have all occurred in the neighbourhood bordered by Dupont Street to the north, Bathurst Street to the east, Dundas Street to the south and Lansdowne Avenue on the west.

The culprit allegedly cuts the window screen and enters the home, then uses a flashlight to steal purses and electronics before fleeing on a bicycle.

He has become aggressive when confronted by homeowners.

The suspect is described as:

  • black
  • 6’2”
  • large build
  • He was last seen wearing a black, waist-length, bomber-style jacket, with brown/tan pants and a black toque or baseball cap.

The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public to secure their windows and doors, activate security alarms, ensure sensor lights are working and be vigilant of potential prowlers.
