StreetBeat- May 6- Mississauga Shots Fired

Peel police are investigating after a shootout between two groups in Mississauga Thursday.

The gun battle broke out in the Hurontario and Dundas St. area around 6 p.m, with the two groups exchanging multiple rounds. Nobody was hit with the bullets.

Three males, two black and one white were seen running south from the scene at 2580 Dundas St. Police say they should be considered armed and dangerous.


Police Score Big In Drug Case

Toronto police made a major drug bust Wednesday, taking in a variety of drugs with a street value of nearly $350, 000.

At around 9 p.m. Wednesday, drug squad officers arrested a man in a car in the Lansdowne and Dupont Ave. area.

From inside the car, they seized a large quantity of cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, hashish  and Oxycodone.

They then searched the accused’s home at Dufferin St. and Eglinton Ave. West. That search netted cocaine, MDMA, Oxycodone, marijuana and more than $150, 000 worth of Canadian currency.

The accused is being held for a Show Cause Hearing and will be appearing the Old City Hall Courts.
