Police are hoping you can help them identify a man who was critically injured in a traffic accident Tuesday night.
The man was crossing Dupont Street at Lansdowne when a white cargo van struck him just after 10:30pm. The pedestrian wasn’t carrying any ID, prompting authorities to release a description in the hopes someone can help identify the man currently fighting for his life in hospital.
The pedestrian is described as,
- In his early 50s
- Light brown skin
- Short black/grey hair and brown eyes
- He has a grey beard and moustache
Police say he was wearing a charcoal grey winter coat with a hood, brown pants, black leather ankle boots, a faded black T-shirt under a reddish pink flannel shirt and older-style wire-rimmed glasses.
The man was also carrying a key ring with 12 keys and two mini swipe cards.

Pair Sought After Alleged Theft Of Hockey Equipment
Police have released images of two people they would like to question after a hockey bag went missing at York University.
On Thursday, the victim left his equipment in the hallway of the Canlan Ice Complex and went into a restaurant.
When he came back out, the bag was gone.
Police would like to talk to a man and woman caught on security cameras in the building. So far, they are not considered suspects.
