Deadly Day On GTA Roads

Two Toronto men are dead after separate crashes Sunday.
A 25-year old Toronto man was killed in a head-on collision with a van just before dawn.
Peel police say his Camaro had been traveling north in the southbound lanes along Erin Mills Parkway. Five other people were injured, including a 12-year old girl.
Police are waiting to release the driver’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
Another man in his forties from Maple was struck and killed crossing Hill St. at Major Mackenzie Dr. around 2:30am.
After hitting the man, the driver took off, but York Region Police managed to track him down at a nearby car wash. At this point, there’s no word on what charges he’s facing.
Again, police are not releasing the victim’s name.
