Al Pacino To Speak In Hamilton This Fall

Hollywood legend Al Pacino will reportedly receive between $100,000 and $150,000 to appear at a Hamilton fundraiser this fall.

The Godfather will headline a $250-a-plate gala in support of the non-profit groups Empower Global and The Good Shepherd on Nov. 22, according to Hamilton radio station CHML. For $1,000 you can reportedly get dinner and a picture with the actor. The event is being held at Carmen’s Banquet Centre.

The stop in Steel Town will be Pacino’s only Canadian appearance this year. Carmen’s president P.J. Mercanti estimates the event will raise up to $200,000 for the charities. The Oscar winner is expected to talk about his career and take part in a moderated question-and-answer session.

Pacino’s fee appears to be in line with other well-known speakers that have appeared at the Hamilton banquet hall, including former U.S. president Bill Clinton.

Other dignitaries and celebrities have appeared at the venue, including former U.S. president George Bush Sr., Margaret Thatcher, Michael Douglas and most recently former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Tickets for the Pacino event are reportedly set to go on sale in a few weeks.
