A Toronto police officer is facing charges in connection with an arrest last month.
According to police, Constable Christopher Hominuk, 37, of 22 Division was on duty on Monday, May 24. He responded to a call where three men had been arrested.
He allegedly assaulted two of the prisoners in custody, threatening to harm both of them.
On Tuesday June 8, an internal audit was conducted where the alleged offences came to light. Constable Hominuk was suspended pending an investigation.
He has been charged with:
Threaten bodily harm (2X)
Assault with a weapon (2X)
He will appear in court at the College park courthouse Wednesday July 21 at 9am.
