Humane Society To Reopen June 28

Mark your calendar: In two weeks’ time, the Toronto Humane Society will once again open its doors.
The River Street facility, which was raided in November, will reopen on June 28. New president Michael Downey made the announcement at the shelter on Monday.
The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) has had control of the THS since the raid last year. Four people were charged with animal cruelty, including former president Tim Trow.
A new board of directors was elected last month.
