Schools Closed, Daycares Open During G8/G20 Summit

It’s not just streets and businesses that will shut down during the upcoming G8 and G20 summits: Eight schools in Toronto’s downtown core will close their doors to students as a precautionary measure.
As well, all buses that serve the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School won’t operate on Friday.
The schools that will be closed on Thursday and Friday are:
- Alpha Alternative Junior School
- Beverley Public School
- Island Public/Natural Science School
- Ogden Junior Public School
- Orde Street Junior Public School
- St. Joseph College School
- St. Michael Choir School
- The Waterfront School
The city has opened up three daycare centres for affected families, but spots are limited. Call for more information.
