Suspicious Church Fire In Milton

Halton police are investigating after a fire broke out a Milton church on Wednesday night.

Just after 10pm, firefighters responded to a 911 call about a fire at St. Paul’s United Church on Main St. E. They quickly doused the flames, limiting damage to the building’s interior.

Witnesses reported seeing a man running from the area. He is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a stocky build and light brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a white baseball cap at the time.

Besides the police arson unit, the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and the Milton Fire Department are probing the case.
