Hump Day Report: Two Men Arrested For Theft Of Camels

Two men are in custody following the strange theft of a tiger and two camels in June.

Police in Quebec apprehended the suspects on Tuesday night.  They are facing theft and possession of stolen goods charges after the animals disappeared while being transported to the Bowmanville Zoo, near Oshawa, from Nova Scotia.

The truck carrying the animals was stolen from a motel northeast of Drummondville, Que. when the driver stopped for a rest.  

According to the Quebec provincial police, the animals were eventually found safe in a town about 90 minutes east of Montreal.
