Authorities could release details Monday regarding raids on provincial ministries in connection to alleged “irregular financial transactions” with outside vendors.
A published report claims the Ministry of Transportation and the Ontario Realty Corp. are among the government departments provincial police have included in their investigation. Both agencies are located at the Macdonald Block complex, on Bay Street (pictured).
Officers with search warrants reportedly descended on the transportation ministry Thursday to look over transaction records of purchases from private suppliers.
The Globe and Mail reports some employees at the Ontario Realty Corp. are also under investigation. It’s not known exactly how many provincial departments or workers are involved, but the probe reportedly doesn’t include MPPs or political staff.
