One Of Two Suspects Arrested In Brampton Home Invasion

Police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old Brampton man in a violent home invasion this week.

On Monday evening, a resident of Brucewood Road was shot in the stomach when he opened his door to two suspects. By the time police arrived around 9:30pm, the pair had fled.

The 21-year-old victim is recovering in hospital.

An investigation led detectives to a home in Brampton, where they arrested Jahvano Easington and seized a sawed-off rifle and sawed-off shotgun. They charged him with attempted murder and a number of weapons offences. He will appear in court on Saturday.

Police are still searching for the second suspect.
