Garlic Sausage Recall Issued By Maple Leaf Foods For Undeclared Milk

A food recall issued Thursday for Shopsy’s Jumbo Franks has been expanded to include two brands of garlic sausage.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the sausages contain milk that is not declared on the label, and may cause serious or life-threatening reactions in people with milk allergies.
The affected products are Country Morning Garlic Sausage Ring and Olympic Fine Meats Ukrainian Garlic Sausage.
Food inspectors say these products may have been sold at deli counters without the original brand name and may have been distributed across Canada.
The manufacturer, Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, is voluntarily recalling the sausages.
