Toronto Toddler Dies In Texas After Being Left In Sweltering SUV

Tragedy has struck a Toronto family after a two-year-old boy died after he was reportedly forgotten inside a hot SUV Thursday while his family was visiting friends and relatives in Texas.

The family of Khoa Nguyen was visiting Harris County and had just returned from a trip to a grocery store. They were focused on attending to the tot’s seven-year-old autistic brother, who had apparently had a seizure as they got out of the SUV.

After the emergency the tot was left behind in the hot vehicle. His father noticed he was missing around 2pm and found him, unresponsive, in the SUV, which was about 50 degrees Celcius at the time.

The tot’s family tried to revive him and called 911. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:30pm.

Criminal charges are not expected in this case.
