Four Injured In Separate Late Night Shootings

Police are investigating after four people, three of them teenagers, were injured in two late-night shootings.

The first happened around 10:30pm on August 25.

The victims were in a residential backyard in the area of Humber Blvd. and Black Creek Dr. Investigators believe a second group approached, there was a brief confrontation and at least one person opened fire.

While their wounds are serious, all of them are expected to survive.

A 19-year-old was shot in the chest, a 17-year-old was shot twice in the face and an 18-year-old was shot in both lower legs. They were all taken to hospital.

Later in the night, a 23-year-old made his own way to hospital with unknown injuries. It was initially believed that the two shootings were linked.

Reports says an eye witness told police three or four suspects were seen running away on foot, while other witnesses report seeing a dark car drive away with the lights off.

Police are waiting to interview the victims.

No arrests have been made.
