Brampton Man Charged After Large Cocaine Seizure At Border Crossing

American authorities have charged a Brampton man in connection to a record cocaine bust.

U.S. Border and Customs officers allegedly found 108 kilograms of the drug hidden in what appeared to be an empty trailer during an inspection at the Lewiston, N.Y. border crossing Wednesday.

The vehicle was bound for Canada.

During the inspection, officers noticed the floor of the trailer appeared to have been tampered with. When they lifted the floor boards they claim they discovered 97 vacuum-sealed bricks of cocaine.

Buffalo Port director Joseph Wilson described the seizure as a record for the Buffalo area.
