Flames broke out in a utility room at an apartment building on Riverspray Crescent, near Bloor Street and Tomken Road, around 4am.
The victims took shelter on two transit buses as fire crews worked to douse the blaze.
One person was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
Everyone has since been allowed back inside.
