Toronto’s mayoral hopefuls faced off in a heated debate at York University Wednesday night.
The focus of the debate was investment priorities and how the candidates plan to deal with the city’s $3-billion debt.
With Rob Ford the undisputed front-runner, the other mayoral candidates stepped up their attack.
“Rob Ford does not have a plan to take you from anger to action,” Rocco Rossi said.
Ford, for his part, repeated the catchphrases that have worked for him throughout his campaign.
“We’re taxed to death in this city,” he said.
“We definitely have a spending problem. You watch the pennies, and the dollars will take care of themselves.”
