Man Suffers Serious Burns At Midland Avenue Fire

A man is in hospital with serious burns following a fire at 200 Midland Ave.
Flames broke out at a framing company on Monday evening. Three neighbouring businesses were also damaged.
“There was an explosion before our arrival. The call came in a little after 10:30pm,” Deputy Fire Chief Frank Lamie explained.
“The explosion, we believe, was propane. The victim was found in the parking lot, we’ve got glass and debris in the parking lot, and the building has been compromised,” Lamie said.
The victim was found in the parking lot and rushed to hospital where he remains with second- and third-degree burns.
The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
