New Website Keeps Track Of City’s Film Festivals

With more than 70 film festivals taking over our screens year round – five have launched since TIFF wrapped last month – the city is launching a new website to keep track of it all.

A joint effort with the George Brown College School of Design, Toronto Film Festivals allows users to search film events by name, date, category or on a monthly calendar.

Running until October 8, the Toronto Palestine Film Festival explores the historic struggle of the Palestinians through art, cinema, music and food. And later in the month, the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival will showcase multimedia works by Indigenous people.

The 14th annual Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival happens in November, featuring films by East and Southeast Asians living around the world.

Toronto Film Festivals launches Tuesday at 5pm at the TIFF Bell Lightbox at 350 King Street West (at John).
