Juno Nominees Announced

The nominations for the 40th annual Juno Awards were announced Tuesday and some big names are up for honours.
Drake will host this year’s ceremony in Toronto on March 27 at the Air Canada Centre. The Toronto-born rapper took home the new artist of the year and rap recording of the year awards at the 2010 Junos in St. John’s, N.L.
This year, he’s up for Album of the Year for “Thank Me Later.” The other Album of the Year nominees are:
- Arcade Fire, The Suburbs
- Hedley, The Show Must Go
- Johnny Reid, A Place Called Love
- Justin Bieber, My World 2.0
The same names are popping up in another category. Stratford, Ont. native Bieber along with Drake, Hedley and Reid are also up for the Juno Fan Choice award. Michael Buble joins them, nudging out Arcade Fire, who will have to console themselves with a Grammy nomination.
Bieber is up for four trophies: artist of the year, album of the year, pop album of the year and a fan choice award.
