Police Investigate Stabbing, But Make Arrest On Gun Charges

One person was sent to hospital with stab wounds and another arrested on gun charges after an incident on Keele Street overnight Saturday.

Toronto police were called to the Carribean Tropix Night Club at 3585 Keele Street around 2am Saturday morning. That’s in the Keele and Sheppard area.

Once they arrived, they found a male victim suffering from stab wounds to the arm.

He was taken to hospital and treated.

While on the scene, police say someone in the crowd noticed someone in the crowd was carrying a gun.

Police arrested Maurice James, 20, of Toronto. He was charged with numerous firearms related charges, including possessing a firearm contrary to a firearms prohibition order.
