Len Lesser, known for his role as Uncle Leo on ‘Seinfeld,’ has died

Len Lesser, known to millions of fans for his role as Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, has died.

Lesser, 88, passed away on Feb. 16 in Burbank, California. His family said he had cancer-related pneumonia.

He appeared in the Clint Eastwood movie Kelly’s Heroes, but was best known for his work on television, including roles on ER, The Rockford Files, Get Smart, The Munsters, That Girl, and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Lesser was born on Dec. 3, 1922 in New York City and served in the United States army during World War II.

Lesser is survived by his daughter Michelle, son David, David’s wife Julie and the couple’s three children.
