#findlupulsphone; Leafs player uses Twitter to find iPhone left in cab

It can be used to change the world, as shown in Egypt, and to find lost cellphones.

Twitter proved to be a quick fix for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul, who lost his iPhone in a Toronto taxi.

Lupul posted a tweet Friday morning to tell the world he’d left his phone in the back of an orange cab driven by a man with a “nice thick duster”(moustache).

In the hopes of generating some leads, the Leafs’ forward created the hashtag #findlupulsphone. In another tweet Lupul posted a reward: tickets to the next five Leafs games. He also offered up a jersey.

It didn’t take long for the Twitterverse and Leafs’ fans to respond. Not long after his initial tweet, Lupul posted that he had tracked down his gadget.

“Omg. This actually worked. The search is off! It’s been located!!!! Yessss,” he wrote.

There’s no word yet on who found the phone and got the free tickets.
