Is the price right? TV icon Bob Barker offers $100K for Edmonton elephant’s checkup

Former television game show host Bob Barker says he’s willing to put up $100,000 to make sure the Edmonton zoo’s lone elephant gets another checkup.
Lucy is at the centre of a battle between the city and animal rights activists who want her moved to a warmer climate to live with other elephants.
A veterinary specialist hired by the city says Lucy has breathing problems that make it too dangerous to move her.
Barker would like elephant experts selected by two animal rights groups to examine Lucy.
He says the city could use his $100,000 any way it wanted to.
Former NHL player Georges Laraque has also offered $100,000 to the city — but only if Lucy is moved.
