Firefighters were called out to douse a large blaze that engulfed an abandoned building in Brampton early Thursday.
The flames erupted around 3 a.m. in the empty house at Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road. Crews decided to stand back and let the two-alarm fire burn down, due to fears the structure could collapse, while ensuring the flames didn’t spread.
Authorities closed a section of Queen Street west of Chinguacousy.
There’s no word yet on a cause or damage estimate.
