Director, writer, forced to rework Osama bin Laden movie after his unexpected death

An Oscar-winning Hollywood team has been forced to rework their latest project after the unexpected death of Osama bin Laden on Sunday.

Director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal each won an Academy Award for their work on “The Hurt Locker.” They then began work on a movie about a team of elite American soldiers tasked with rooting out terrorism.

It’s apparently the same unit that killed the al-Qaida leader in Pakistan earlier this week.

According to MovieWeb.com, Boal had been following the mission since December. The script will now include the firefight that ended bin Laden’s life.
