Police closed off a section of Richmond Street and a Haz-Mat team was brought in to investigate a strange substance found inside a car Wednesday morning.
Richmond Street was closed between Church and Jarvis Street around 5 a.m. after the powder was found inside a car. It’s not yet known why or if police officers stopped the vehicle.
Officers were in the area investigating a separate case when the discovery was made.
There’s no word yet on what they found.
The route reopened around 5:45 a.m. Police and Toronto Fire cleared the scene around 6 a.m.
