Woman killed, 4 others hurt in crash on Highway 9

One person was killed and four others were injured after a four vehicle crash on Highway 9 near Highway 27 Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m., where it appears a car headed eastbound crossed into the westbound lanes, hitting two vehicles.
One of those vehicles ended up in the eastbound lanes and hit a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, a woman, died.
One female passenger was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Three other victims were transported to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.
The nature of their injuries aren’t clear.
