Search for missing man leads police to human remains in Markham home

The search for a missing man has led Peel police officers to human remains in a Markham home.

The remains have not been positively identified but a forensic examination is underway.

“This finding is of concern to investigators,” Peel police said in a statement.

Jianguo (Tony) Han, a well-known real estate agent, was last seen on January 20. Officers say he and Xiu Jun “Johnny” Fei were kidnapped from a home on Featherston Drive in Mississauga.

Fei was found safe days later.

In the meantime, police have arrested four people and are looking for a fifth in connection with their investigation.

Senthuran Sabesan, 23, and Hinthurjin Baskaran, 21, have each been charged with two counts of kidnapping with the intent to hold for ransom. Two other adults, who cannot be named due to a publication ban, are facing the same charges.

Police are still looking for Guo Wei Wu, 43. Wu is described as:

  • male
  • Asian
  • 5’7”
  • 170 lbs.
  • black hair
