Toddler dies after being struck by car in Brampton

A 15-month-old girl has died after being run over by a car in Brampton on Saturday.
It happened around 5 p.m. on Hadfield Circle, near Bramalea Road and Countryside Drive.
There are reports a relative ran over the toddler while backing out of the driveway of the family home.
The child had massive head injuries, according to police. She was taken to Brampton Civic Hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 6 p.m.
The toddler was an only child who had lived in the house with her parents and extended family.
Police have not yet said whether they will lay charges.
