IMAX movie shows birth of a tornado

In Tornado Alley — the latest IMAX movie now playing at the Ontario Science Centre — director and storm chaser Sean Casey takes viewers on a wild ride to experience tornados’ destructive power.
Casey appeared on Breakfast Television Wednesday morning to show his Tornado Intercept Vehicle — a heavily modified 1997 Ford F-450 truck built to withstand the most extreme weather conditions.
In the film, crews document the birth of a tornado. As part of their journey, they gather some of the most comprehensive severe-weather data ever collected.
