The core services review conducted by consultant KPMG and ordered by Mayor Rob Ford will be up for discussion at a meeting of the executive committee. The report provided suggestions on how to close the city’s $774 million budget shortfall for 2012.

More than 300 citizens will be given three minutes to speak about the proposed cuts, some of which include closing libraries, eliminating late-night TTC buses, canceling AIDS prevention and student nutrition programs, reducing the size of the police force, getting rid of the School Crossing Guard program and trimming public art and heritage preservation programs.
