Bomb squad frees Australian teen

A bomb squad freed an 18-year-old trapped near a suspicious device in a Sydney home on Wednesday, Australian police confirm.
New South Wales Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch says police don’t yet know whether the contraption is an explosive.
He said they are looking for the person who placed the device in the home, located in the affluent suburb Mosman.
Murdoch said the girl, identified as Madeleine Pulver in several news reports, is safe and well.
Police believe the motive was extortion.
