Teacher charged with sexually assaulting female student

A teacher at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Toronto has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old female student.
Police arrested Orlando Fusaro on Tuesday. The 37-year-old Woodbridge man has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. The offence allegedly occurred this year.
He made a brief court appearance on Wednesday and remains in custody.
The Toronto Catholic District School Board wasn’t immediately available for comment.
The school, which is near Lawrence Avenue and Weston Road, goes from junior kindergarten to Grade 8.
