Feds asking for public’s help to find 32 people wanted on immigration warrants

The federal government is asking for the public’s help to track down 32 people facing deportation for serious crimes committed in Canada.

Public safety minister Vic Toews says the people are permanent residents of Canada who have been convicted of offences here and served time in jail.

Today in Toronto, Toews released the names and photos of the fugitives who are all wanted on Canada-wide warrants.

The announcement comes less than a month after the Canada Border Services Agency released the names of 30 people wanted for alleged war crimes.

Toews says six of those individuals have been apprehended and at least two have been identified overseas.
