Sarah Lagler-Clark is just 13 years old – but she’s already been pitching for seven years.
Lagler-Clark pitches for the Hurricanes in the Mississauga Southwest Baseball Association, and her fast-ball — recently clocked at 55 miles per hour — helped take her team to the under-14 national championships.
“A lot of these pitchers have three or four pitches. This kid has two. She has a fastball that she spots high or low, wherever you need it; and a phenomenal change-up. That’s how she gets her batters out,” coach Wayne Gray-Baker said.
Congratulations, Sarah, you’re our Athlete of the Week.
