Man reportedly punches carjacker in the face at Scarborough bank machine

A man reportedly stopped a carjacker from forcing him to withdraw cash from a Scarborough bank machine by punching him in the face.
Police say two suspects approached a man on his way to work and forced him into his BMW around 5 a.m. Wednesday. The pair then instructed the man to drive to a bank machine at Finch and Warden avenues, according to reports.
One of the bandits walked the man to the ATM and tried to get him to withdraw cash. The victim reportedly punched the robber in the face, managed to escape and flagged down a cab driver who called police.
The suspects reportedly fled in the man’s car.
