Prime Minister and family catch webslinger on Broadway

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his family capped off the summer with a trip to the Big Apple.

A spokesman would only say Harper is spending a private weekend there, but at least one of the family’s outings was revealed on Twitter.

The hot new Broadway show “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark,” tweeted a thank-you to Harper for attending on Friday night.

The Broadway musical features music from U2 and has become notorious for its cost overruns, delays and injuries to several cast members.

Despite mixed reviews, the $75-million production has been one of the hottest draws on Broadway since it opened in June.

In late July, a Buffalo, N.Y. TV station captured footage of Harper and his family leaving a mini-putt course.
