An auto repair shop north of Downsview on Chesswood Drive was destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon.
The two-alarm blaze ripped through 4485 Chesswood Dr. around 5:30 p.m.
The building was evacuated and one person was sent to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Police tell CityNews the building is a write-off, with more than $500,000 in damage.
The initial assessment is that the fire was accidental, but the Ontario Fire Marshal will investigate beginning Wednesday.
The street was blocked south of Finch Avenue during the fire. Three cars were reportedly on fire inside the building.
