Car crashes into backyard of Mississauga home

A car went out of control and crashed into the backyard of a home in Mississauga early Wednesday.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on Alta Court, near Rathburn Road East and Central Parkway East.
A man drove through a fence and into a backyard. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital. There’s no word yet on his condition, but he appears to have suffered minor injuries.
Police haven’t indicated what caused the crash. There’s no word if alcohol or speed were factors.
Hours later, another car crashed into a front yard in on Duncanwoods Drive, near Finch and Islington avenues, and hit a hydro pole just before 8 a.m.
Hydro crews were called to the scene to repair the damage.
No injuries were reported.
