The search is on for a missing Oshawa man after his boat was found south of Ashbridges Bay.
The boat, a 16-foot aluminium fishing boat, was found about a kilometre off Ashbridges Bay late Saturday afternoon.
Police believe the man set off shortly after 6 p.m. from Whitby Friday night.
Officials determined the vessel belonged to a 42-year-old Oshawa man.
The Toronto Police Marine Unit, Durham Marine Unit and multiple other agencies are involved in a grid search, spanning from Ashbridges Bay, on Toronto’s waterfront, and Oshawa.
