Wounded warriors: Over 20 Afghanistan vets come to Toronto

Over 20 Canadian veterans who served in Afghanistan will be in Toronto this weekend, taking in a baseball game and going to party with the stars of Total Recall.

But it’s not all fun and games: The Never Quit organization is helping these wounded warriors with their rehabilitation.

Cpl. Lamb was injured in the war.

“It was a nice big chemical explosion. I took some shrapnel to the torso and face area, and lost the eye,” Cpl. Lamb said.

“We want to help them with their recovery, with getting back into their community, getting back into an active lifestyle.  We’re trying to help the ones who served,” David Harroo of Never Quit explained.
