Man charged with attempted murder after alleged road rage incident

A 23-year-old man is facing charges, including attempted murder, for an alleged road rage incident near Little Italy this week.

Police said the accused, who was driving a black Honda, got into an argument with another driver in the Ossington and College area around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The two men got out of their vehicles and the Honda driver allegedly struck the other man and pinned him against his car. The 37-year-old victim suffered serious leg injuries.

A brief police pursuit happened after the incident. The suspect managed to escape officers but later left his car near Bathurst subway station and fled, authorities claim.

On Thursday police arrested William Davidson and charged him with attempted murder, threatening death, failing to stop for police and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

He appeared in court Thursday morning.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (416) 808-1400 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
