The Lion King conquered the weekend box office for the second straight week, bringing in $22 million.
Disney released the early 90s hit in 3D this month and so far, it’s earned $62 million. That’s on top of nearly $800 million worldwide the movie made after being first released in 1994.
Moneyball, Brad Pitt’s baseball movie that debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, came in second with $20.6 million. The film follows the Oakland Athletics as their general manager rebuilds the team based on little-used statistics.
Chris Pratt, from Citytv’s Parks and Recreation, and Jonah Hill co-star.
Dolphin Tale, based on the true story of an injured dolphin, raked in $20.3 million.
