Student stabbed near Midland Avenue school

Toronto police are looking for four men as they investigate an aggravated assault that happened on Monday morning in the city’s north end.

An 18-year-old student is in hospital after he was stabbed in the head near Monsignor Fraser College on Midland Avenue around 11:02 a.m.

The attack did not happen on school property. However, Monsignor Fraser College was briefly placed in lockdown. The lockdown has since been lifted, Const. Tony Vella told CityNews.

It appears that 10-15 people may have been involved in a fight. The victim was stabbed in the head with a pair of scissors.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police are now looking for four men who left the scene on a TTC bus. They are all described as black males between the ages of 18-21.

It’s not yet known what prompted the fight.

There are six Monsignor Fraser College campuses for adult students in Toronto.
