Pusateri’s set to reopen

Just days after it was forced to close due to health violations, upscale midtown grocery store Pusateri’s will be reopening Monday morning.

Management confirms to CityNews the flagship store on Avenue Road north of Lawrence store will be reopening at 8 a.m.

Toronto Public Health forced the store’s closure on Thursday due to poor sanitation and infestation, reportedly rats and cockroaches.

The agency said it was responding to a complaint.

Pusateri’s President Frank Luchetta said the infestation problem was isolated to a storage area in the basement.

Pusateri’s has two other locations, in Yorkville and Bayview Village. The public health order only applied to the Avenue Road store.
