The days of a simple double-double are a thing of the past as Tim Hortons jumps into the specialty coffee market.
The main street mainstay will start serving up value-priced lattes, mocha lattes and cappuccinos made with “premium espresso” across Ontario on Nov. 14 and the rest of Canada and in the United States in mid-December.
The specialty drinks will start at $2.
“We carefully explored lattes for some time,” Tim Hortons president and CEO Paul House said in a statement Wednesday. “The unique blends we’ve developed deliver a rich, creamy drink, consistently and fast.”
The coffee chain says it serves two billion cups of coffee a year across North America.
Earlier this month Tim Hortons announced its new beef lasagna casserole.
