2 charged following protest at Old City Hall Remembrance Day ceremony

Two people were arrested and charged following a protest at Old City Hall during Friday’s Remembrance Day ceremony.

A 58-year-old man was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place, and a 55-year-old woman was charged with causing a disturbance but will be released unconditionally.

The man’s protest appeared to be targeting the mayor.  He shouted “Rob Ford! Rob Ford!” and lunged toward the podium.

He was stopped by a Mountie who was dressed in his ceremonial uniform.
